From all your hard work and support during our fund raising event, we managed to raise £5,571.21! This is more than enough to buy the treadmill we wanted. Thank you so much. What an amazing result!

Thank you for this and all the support you have given this year, I am staggered by the generosity and kindness this group shares. You really are one group in a million.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year,

Changes to Exercise Sessions - (Current, January 2023)

The government has removed all domestic COVID-19 restrictions in England. After a period of continuing caution, from 23rd May 2022 MKCCG will be returning to holding single exercise sessions similar to our pre-pandemic arrangements. However, we will continue to take some of the precautions we introduced to protect the safety of our members, staff and volunteers:

  • If you feel unwell or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 please let us know and stay at home until any symptoms stop.
  • On arrival at Hinton Hall, please wear a mask until you reach your chair in the main hall and sanitise your hands with the gel provided. You can continue to change your shoes in the main hall unless the weather is poor in which case you can change in reception.
  • We will continue to operate our air purifiers and have adequate ventilation by keeping a few windows open for fresh air flow.
  • We will remove the floor markings to allow for more members at a time to exercise, but members are encouraged to maintain distance where possible – at least 1 metre please.
  • We will limit the maximum number of members exercising at any session to 40.
  • Members are asked to arrive at 09.40 for morning sessions, 12.40 for afternoon sessions and 18.40 for evening sessions. Sessions will last approximately 2 hours. A full timetable will be posted at Hinton Hall.
  • We will re-introduce the 4-week pattern of aerobics-machines-circuits-machines keeping members together, but as numbers grow we might need to split members into two smaller groups for the main period of exercise, as in the past.
  • At some point after we introduce these changes we will re-start refreshments in the kitchen, although we will need to recruit volunteers to make the tea/coffee, and will need to raise the price to 50p for the first time in decades! When re-introduced, refreshments will take place after relaxation at the end of the session.

We ask for members’ patience as we start to return to a ‘new normal’ with these changes.
