Working to become Dementia Friendly - MKCCG Dementia Friends Action Pledge
The action pledge detailing what actions we would like to commit to are as follows:
- Encourage all staff and volunteers to become Dementia Friends
- Signpost our members, staff and volunteers to where they can get further dementia support
- Review our staff policies to create a dementia friendly workplace
- Consider people affected by dementia when we redevelop new, or review existing services
- Complete a dementia friendly environment audit on our building and make simple but necessary changes, such as signage.
If you, or someone you know, has a cardiac and/or pulmonary condition and also has dementia we will do our best to welcome them as members of our group, subject to the usual assessment to confirm their suitability.
