Kings Award Message to Volunteers

The King's Award for Voluntary Service 2024

Message to All MKCCG Volunteers

CONGRATULATIONS to all our volunteers. We are so proud of you.

It has been announced today that the volunteers of Milton Keynes Community Cardio-pulmonary Group have received The King’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest award a local group of volunteers can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE.

You should all be very proud to receive this award. You, along with all our volunteers make MKCCG extra special. Having so many amazing volunteers means we are able to offer the fantastic service we have today.

You are all passionate, devoted and reliable and each and every one of you truly deserves this prestigious award.

The King’s Award for Voluntary Service aims to recognise outstanding work by local volunteer groups to support their communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate Her Majesty The late Queen’s Golden Jubilee and was continued following the accession of His Majesty The King. 2024 marks the second year of The King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Representatives of Milton Keynes Community Cardio-pulmonary Group will receive the award crystal and certificate from Countess Howe, Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire in due course. In addition, two volunteers from Milton Keynes Community Cardio-pulmonary Group will attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace in May and June 2025, along with other recipients of this year’s Award.

This confirms what we have always known, that you are wonderful and we are so pleased you have been given this recognition.

Thank you for all that you do, and well done!

We, of course, will be holding a big celebration for you all.

Kind regards

Tina and all the staff.
